21!
This past weekend, I had the
chance to celebrate my birthday with all my friends and family. It was not just
any birthday. It was my 21st, a milestone I had been looking forward to for a
long time. I can’t even describe how excited I was for this day to finally
arrive. Turning 21 is a big deal because it comes with so many new
opportunities and freedoms. At 21, you can legally drink, rent a car, gamble
and, even apply for a pilot’s license. It is an age that opens up new doors and
marks the beginning of a new chapter in life. I have heard so much about how
life changes when you turn 21, and now that I have reached it, I am excited to
see what new experiences and adventures lie ahead. In this blog, I will talk
about all the great things and memories I endured that made it a night I will
never forget with stories that'll last a lifetime.
The week leading up to
Saturday was filled with excitement, anxiety and, anticipation. Every day, I
found another reason to look forward to my 21st birthday. After my 20th, I had
already started counting the days until this milestone, and when I saw that my
birthday would fall on a Saturday, I knew it was going to be a special one.
Whether it was friends making the drive to celebrate or the excitement of our
final regular season game against our rivals, John Carroll, everything seemed
to be building toward an unforgettable day.
Saturday, we faced John
Carroll in an absolute thriller that came down to the final whistle. Known as
our biggest rivals, John Carroll had gotten the best of us every time over the
years, and we hadn’t beaten them at home since 2015. This game meant more than
just a win; it was about tournament seeding, claiming the title of regular
season champions and, defining the legacy of our team. The match played out
like a heavyweight boxing match, with both teams exchanging heavy blows, but
always answering back. They struck first, we responded, they scored again and,
we answered once more. It wasn’t until the final minute of the game that we
scored our third goal, securing the win and the victory that we had fought so
hard for.
After the game, I went to
Texas Roadhouse with one of my sisters, my parents and, my grandpa. Texas
Roadhouse is one of my favorite restaurants, and I’m so happy there are two of
them close to Ada. I ordered steak and shrimp with a side of mashed potatoes. I
also enjoyed my first alcoholic beverage, a tall glass of Coors. I am so grateful
I got to eat a great meal on my birthday with the people I love most!
I finished my day off by
celebrating my 21st, beating John Carroll and, Halloween. I dressed up as a
pilgrim with one of my best friends, and our whole friend group decided to do a
theme this year, historical figures. The celebration Saturday night was amazing
and one of the greatest nights of my life. Looking around and seeing my friends
and family all together in one place brought me so much joy. It was a perfect
end to an unforgettable day.
In conclusion, my 21st
birthday weekend was unforgettable. It was filled with excitement and
celebration, starting with an intense win against our rivals, John Carroll, in
a thrilling game. Afterward, I enjoyed a special meal at Texas Roadhouse with
my family and had my first drink, marking the milestone. The day ended with a
fun Halloween celebration, where I dressed up as a pilgrim with my friends.
Surrounded by the people I love, it was a perfect way to celebrate this
important birthday and create memories I’ll cherish forever.
Well happy belated birthday! Turning 21 is definitely a big milestone, and I’m glad you got to enjoy it with friends and family. You’re so lucky it was on a Saturday too, my 21st was on a Monday that just so happened to fall on president’s day so all of the bars were closed.
