Unexpected Tuesday

Yesterday was quite an eventful Tuesday, and I wanted to share all the highlights of my day!
I started off my morning with a solid workout at the gym. As a soccer player, my main goal is to get stronger and faster, and lifting weights is essential for that. I focused on some compound movements, like squats and deadlifts, which help build overall strength. After an hour of lifting, I felt accomplished and energized to start the day.
Once I finished at the gym, I rushed back to my apartment to get ready for class. I was looking forward to attending Social Media class; however, as I was getting ready, I received a text from a classmate asking if we had class. I suddenly realized that Dr. Aggy had informed us last week that we didn’t. While I was a bit caught off guard, I decided to make the most of my free time.
After that surprise, it was time for soccer practice. I arrived at the field with my teammates, excited to work on our skills and get ready for games this weekend in St. Louis. We started with some warm-up drills and passing exercises, and I felt great on the ball. Just as we were getting into the groove, dark clouds rolled in, and the weather took a turn for the worse. After only 20 minutes on the field, we heard thunder in the distance, and our coach called practice off due to approaching storms.
With practice cut short, I had some free time, so I decided to check out the Bowling Green men’s soccer game with some of my teammates later in the evening. Originally, we planned to eat at Chipotle before the game, but since it had been moved to a nearby dome due to the storms, we opted for Chick-fil-A instead. It was a great decision because I got two chicken sandwiches, large fries, and lemonade.
When we arrived at the dome, the atmosphere was electric. The Bowling Green team is off to a fantastic start this season and is currently ranked in the top 25. BG was playing Eastern Illinois, who on paper was no threat. As my friends and I got seated, we started noticing players on the field that we know and have played against over the years. We also saw two of our teammates' brothers who play for Bowling Green, which was the driving reason we decided to watch the game in the first place. The game was full of action and fast-paced play from the start. Bowling Green dominated, showcasing their skills and flair. I enjoyed watching how crisp and clean all the players were on the ball. The final score was an incredible 5-0 victory for Bowling Green. It was entertaining to watch, especially knowing that I had a personal connection to some of the players on the field.
Overall, it was a fun Tuesday filled with unexpected events and great memories. I’m grateful I was able to accomplish so much throughout the day and that I got to watch Bowling Green play. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings, especially as we gear up for more practices and games in St. Louis!

I'm glad I was able to let you know that we didn't have class before you went to class by mistake. Our practice was also delayed and cut short due to the weather which was unexpected but we were able to get what we needed done.
