Podcast: Austin Rosebeck

For my podcast, I had the privilege of talking with Austin Rosebeck. He is a seasoned multimedia technology expert with a diverse skill set that stretches across various industries. He manages the social media for ONU Men's Soccer, where his expertise helps to enhance the team's online presence and engage with the community. Additionally, Austin has a strong background in producing music videos, having worked with several artists to create impactful visual content. His work reflects a mixture of technical and creative vision, making him an important figure on social media.

I started off the podcast by asking him to tell the audience a little bit more about himself and his background in social media. He began his social media journey in high school when he was inspired by some of his favorite YouTubers to pursue a career in it. In his journey year, he was allowed to go to school for it, which he did, and "the rest is history,” he states.

I then decided to dive deeper and ask him a question regarding how his approach to social media changed over the years. Austin reflects on his small-town background and calls it "surreal" to see how far he has taken his dream of being a social media professional. He credits the change in how he views social media to the people he has met over the years and the opportunities he has endured.

While having experience in many different types of content creation, I asked Austin what his favorite type of content is to create and edit. He told me his favorite content he creates is the "hype videos" for the ONU men's soccer team. He expressed that nothing beats the feeling of seeing the looks on everyone's faces after the video is uploaded. Austin takes great pride in helping run social media platforms for the soccer team.

Overall, Austin provided great insight into what it takes to get into social media and his journey to get where he is today. At the end of the podcast, I asked him what advice he would give to someone just starting on social media. He clarified it, "Don't give up" and "Don't be afraid." It was perfect advice to give because it can be applied to anyone in any situation. Austin is a true professional and takes great pride in his craft; his work never goes unnoticed.
